Wine and Dine

Hey Loves!


Last weekend while visiting South Florida, my friend Krystle and I went to Schnebly Redland's Winery in Homestead, FL.

We had a wonderful evening of wine tasting!  I often enjoy a nice, chilled glass of wine and I have my favorites, but I have to admit that the wine I tasted here was by far the best I've ever had!

Here's what I was wearing.  Yep, you've seen it before here. 

The winery was so nice and I am looking forward to going back when I visit Krystle again.  Speaking of Krystle, she is the friend I told you all about who made all of the fabulous food for Bernie's Bachelorette breakfast!  Click here to see that post.

We had a great time at the winery and decided to buy a bottle and go back to the house for dinner since she is such a fab cook!

The wine we purchased was called Category 3 Hurricane and it was a red wine with accents of guava and cherries and OMG I have never tasted a wine so delicious ever!!! LOL!

For dinner we indulged in some Beef Teriyaki, courtesy of Krystle's kitchen!

A great end to a great evening with a great friend!

I decided to spice it up a bit with a pop of turquoise!

Bridal Shower Surprise

Hi Guys!


Over Spring Break I surprised one of my besties for her Bridal Shower.  She didn't think I was going to be able to make it so it was a great surprise.

Her shower was at the Grand Luxe Cafe in Boca Raton, FL.  I ate there in Vegas so I knew the food would be great.  Click here to see that post.

It looks like a dress but it'ssssss nooottttttt!

I am so in love with jumpers this year!  They are so comfy and stylish! I bought this one from Forever 21.  The print and wide legs puts me in a retro state of mind.  It looks like an outfit that would've been around in the 70's.  What do you think?

Here is me and my girl, Renee! She really was surprised!

She is quite the fashionista herself!  Look at how gorgeous this dress is!!!!

So I would be remiss if I didn't show you the food.  I couldn't get a picture of everyone's food but I took pictures of my plate and 2 others.  Here goes:

I am not the hugest fan of cheesecake, but this red velvet cheesecake will make you wanna slap somebody! LOL!  It was so freggin' good!

I really enjoyed the shower and getting to see my girl Renee!  Her wedding is on my birthday so you know there will be lots of pictures to come!

Hey Dolls!!


Before I go any further I want to give a big hello to all of my new followers!!!  I'm almost at 300! How exciting! I think I'm going to do a give-away this time!  Much love to all of my older faithful followers too!  I really appreciate all of the blog love!

Some of you may noticed my absence last week but I was on Spring Break and didn't really get an opportunity to get on the computer.  The majority of my posts this week will be outfits I wore while out and about my week off.  Here's the first:

CRAZY RIGHT!?!?!?!? I spent over $150 on gas alone! Oh if gas could only be $0.99 again.

Work OOTD: Work Appropriate :)

Hey Lovelies and welcome to all of my new followers!!!

I pray that everyone has had a wonderful week thus far!  I'm back from Tampa and have to say that I fell in love with that city!  It is beautiful, there's so much to do, and my favorite stores are there.  Needless to say, it was tough having to come home.  While there I met Genelle from What's More Important than Fashion and she was an absolute doll!  We did a little shopping at H&M.  I wanted to do a lot more shopping but I'm really trying to stick to not spending too much on clothing until summer.  I used my H&M gift card (and a little more) but cheated and bought a pair of shoes at MJM..........well two pairs. :) We also chit chatted about being in Tallahassee at the same time during college.  She was at FAMU and I was at FSU!  Small world! I love meeting my fellow blogger buddies! 

Anywho, here is my work OOTD. 

I love wearing this dress during the spring and summer.  I had to add a shirt underneath and a sweater to make it work appropriate. 

I love the length of the dress and the detailing at the waist.

 

I bought this dress two summers ago from Marshall's I believe and the sweater and flat sandals are from Ross.

The earrings are from Beall's Outlet.

 Tomorrow is Friday and the weekend begins!!!  Spring Break is next week for me and I am so excited for the week off from work!

European Street Cafe

Hey Dolls,


Its the weekend babbbbyyyyy! This is actually an outfit I wore last weekend and forgot to post so here goes...

I was pretty impressed with how quickly I was able to throw this outfit together.  I was half asleep when I got dressed because I had to be somewhere at 7:30am Saturday morning after a long Friday night.

Ofcourse you all know what I'm doing....shopping the closet so here's where you've seen each item before.

1. Jacket
2. Dress (Worn as a shirt)
3. Booties

I haven't done a restaurant review in a while.  Looking back at my photos, I realized that I never posted these pictures from European Street Cafe.  This is a cute little cafe that some co-workers and I went to for lunch after a workshop last month.

This place is so cute, resembles a cottage, and reminds me of Germany.  (I lived there for 3 years)

They specialize in soups and salads but you can also find all sorts of pastries, cookies,  and other sugary treats!

 I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and gumbo.

Although, this isn't the traditional type of gumbo that I'm used to eating, it was very flavorful!

One of my co-workers had the Steak Dip sandwich with Au-jus.  It was loaded with meat and she said it was quite good.

 Another co-worker had a salad.  I forgot what type it was but hey it looked good. :)

One of my co-workers was very serious about sticking to her point system for WeightWatchers and got a turkey pita sandwich.  She said it lacked in flavor terribly! LOL!  If I had to guess on appearance alone, I'd say the same.

I've been to European Street several times and the food is always very good.  My favorite sandwich from there is The Princess which is a chicken breast, bacon, provolone, lettuce, and tomato on a croissant!  Delicious!  Though I have never tried it, I've heard great things about the Beer Cheese soup.
